A child with a bag and a full set of notebooks walks into class feeling like everyone else. A child without them often feels the gap before the first lesson even starts.
Why school supplies still matter in Puducherry
For families living on daily wages, a school bag and a few notebooks compete with rent, food and medical bills. Parents want their children to study, but supplies are often the first thing to be pushed to “next month”.
The result is quiet but real: books carried loose, homework left unfinished, children hesitating to take part in class. Sponsoring supplies removes that hurdle for one child and one family at a time.
